The Marlay Nursing Home is located in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 within close proximity to the M50 motorway and all parts of Dublin City and County.

We wish to appoint a permanent full-time enthusiastic Unit Clinical Co-Ordinator to work as part of the team and to lead, support and mentor the Nursing and Care Team.  Psychiatric training is an advantage.  Experience in care of the Older Person is also an advantage.


  • NMBI registration
  • Knowledge of the current HIQA standards

Key Responsibilities

  • providing a pro-active lead and direction to the care team of the unit
    • Working as part of the team.
    • Lead in implementing change as required
    • Compliance with Regulations, Health & Safety, Marlay policies and procedures
    • Strong communication skills to support and mentor staff.
  • promote by strong example an environment that delivers excellent standards of person-centred care;
    • promote independence and dignity and positive enhancement of the lives of residents in our care
    • Identify care needs and lead in resident care and plans and implement these with the care team.
    • Strong medication management practice
  • Engage effectively with Care Admin personnel in order to optimise efficiencies and quality in the overall delivery of care services
    • High standards of documentation
    • Auditing of Services within the unit
  • Effective communication with Residents, Relatives and liaison with Managers of allied services
    • Day to day and with attendance at meetings
      Assisting HR in disciplinary & grievance processes
  • Training & Development
    • Pro-actively ensure team members receive formal induction, probation, ongoing direction and periodic appraisal (with support of HR)
    • Educate and focus care team and propose re-training where required
