Senior Physiotherapist - Aquatic Physiotherapy
1.0WTE (37 hours) / Indefinite Duration contract
Based in Harold’s Cross and Blackrock
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Physiotherapy team in Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.
The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment, treatment and
intervention for patients attending the hydrotherapy pools in Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services. S/he will
work with the Physiotherapist Manager and senior physiotherapists in ensuring the co-ordination, delivery
and development of a quality, patient centred Aquatic Physiotherapy Service. Supervision and mentoring of
staff grade physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants/pool plant operators and students will be an integral part
of the role.
Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
CORU registration or proof of application for registration
3+ years post qualification experience working as a physiotherapist
At least 6 months post qualification experience in aquatic physiotherapy for adults/children with Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal conditions
Evidence of post graduate clinical education in Aquatic Therapy e.g. Bath Hydrotherapy Course, Valens Course, ATACP Foundation course or equivalent or willingness to undertake same
Evidence of post graduate clinical education relating to Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal conditions
Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills together with evidence of leadership in significant internal or external service development
Valid full driving licence – commuting between Harold’s Cross and Blackrock
