Vacancy for Clinical Nurse Specialist – Home Care
Permanent Contract

This is a full-time appointment – 39 hours per week

The appointee will participate in the development and delivery of specialist palliative Home Care nursing services, working as part of a team based out of Galway Hospice in Renmore. Specialist Home Care services are provided across County Galway and the adjoining islands. Essential requirements are as follows:

Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience
Minimum 2 years’ recent specialist Palliative Care experience
Higher Diploma / P.Dip. in Palliative Care Nursing
Full driving license

Qualified nursing staff with extensive relevant experience but without the Higher Diploma may be considered for appointment as Staff Nurse, pending completion of the appropriate higher qualification.

The Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales and Allowances apply to this post. Clinical Nurse Specialist is equivalent to Clinical Nurse Manager 2 on the salary scale. Please request an Application Form and Job Description from
